Our Story
A family story rooted in Italian tradition, New York flavor, and a passion for bringing people together over great food.

A Family Tradition, Passed Down Through Generations
Where Every Meal Tells a Story
In Italian culture, memories are made at the table. Friendships are built over shared meals, and recipes are treasured like family heirlooms. That tradition is the foundation of Amico’s New York Pizza & Italian Restaurant.
What makes Amico’s different? The answer is simple: in everything we do, we bring passion and love.
From the first stretch of dough to the last sprinkle of parmesan, every dish is prepared with care, intention, and respect for generations of Italian cooking.

Born in Brooklyn. Raised in the Kitchen.
The Story Behind the Name
Owner Anthony Amico was born in the heart of Brooklyn in the early 1970s to Italian immigrant parents who came to America in search of opportunity. From the time he was seven years old, Anthony and his sisters could be found inside their parents’ restaurant — rolling dough, tasting sauces, and learning firsthand what authentic Italian hospitality truly means.
Those early years shaped everything. The work ethic. The recipes. The belief that great food brings people together.
After decades in the restaurant business and multiple successful ventures, Anthony and his wife Julie opened Amico’s in 2011 — the first restaurant to proudly carry the family name.

Serving Our Community with Every Slice
Passion Beyond the Plate
At Amico’s, it’s not just about pizza — it’s about connection. Every meal we serve is crafted to bring people together, whether it’s a family dinner, a neighborhood gathering, or a special celebration.
We pride ourselves on using the freshest ingredients, time-honored techniques, and a genuine love for sharing Italian flavors. It’s this dedication that keeps our guests coming back and our tables full of smiles.
